Abyssinian Bushbuck Hunting

The Abyssinian bushbuck (Tragelaphus scriptus abysinicus) is a subspecies of bushbuck found in Ethiopia’s mountainous regions. They have a reddish-brown coat with white markings, and males possess spiral horns up to 80 cm long. Primarily browsers, they feed on leaves and shrubs and prefer dense vegetation for cover. These shy antelopes are mostly active during dawn and dusk and can be solitary or found in small groups. Although they face threats from habitat loss and hunting, they are not currently endangered.
