Afghan Urial Hunting

The Afghan urial (Ovis vignei arkal) is a medium-sized wild sheep found in the mountainous regions of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northern India. Males weigh 150-250 pounds and have curved horns exceeding 40 inches, while their reddish-brown coats feature white markings. They inhabit rugged terrains at elevations of 1,500 to 3,500 meters and prefer sparse vegetation, forming social groups of females and young, with males often solitary. The Afghan urial is herbivorous, grazing on grasses and leaves.
