Amur Moose Hunting

Amur moose (Alces alces cameloides) is a large moose subspecies found in the Russian Far East. Males can weigh between 800 to 1,500 pounds, while females weigh about 600 to 1,000 pounds. They inhabit mixed forests and wetlands, feeding on leaves, bark, and aquatic plants. Solitary in nature, they gather during the fall mating season. After a gestation of about 230 days, females typically give birth to one or two calves. While not endangered, they face threats from habitat loss and hunting, making conservation important for their survival.
