Beceite Ibex Hunting
The Beceite ibex (Capra pyrenaica hispanica) is one of four Spanish ibex types, alongside Ronda, Gredos, and southeastern ibex. Ronda and southeastern ibex are one subspecies, while Gredos and Beceite are another, distinguished by differences in horn size and shape. Found in the Beceite Mountains of northeastern Spain, between Madrid and Valencia, these agile grazers are known for their impressive curved horns that can reach 1 meter. Conservation efforts have helped stabilize their population after past declines from overhunting and habitat loss, but they remain a conservation priority due to their limited range.
