Blue Wildebeest Hunting

The blue wildebeest (*Connochaetes taurinus*), or common wildebeest, is a large antelope from East and Southern Africa’s grasslands and savannas. It has a sturdy body, large head, and curved horns, with a grayish-brown coat. These social animals migrate in large herds and primarily graze on grasses. They give birth after an 8-month gestation period, with peaks during the rainy season. Classified as Least Concern, they face threats from habitat loss and hunting and are important for their ecosystem.
