Bongo Hunting

Bongos are one of Africa’s rarest huntable antelopes and are closely related to the Kudu, Nyala, Bushbuck, and swamp-dwelling Sitatunga. Recognizable by their vibrant reddish-brown coat, white stripes, and long spiraled horns (in males), Bongos inhabit the rainforests of Western and Central Africa. Bongos are primarily nocturnal herbivores, feeding on leaves, fruits, and grasses. Their population is declining due to habitat loss and hunting pressures, making conservation efforts crucial for their survival.
