Bontebok Hunting

The Bontebok (Damaliscus pygargus) is a striking antelope native to the grasslands of South Africa, particularly the Western Cape. It resembles the Common Blesbok but has distinct coloration and markings. Bonteboks are recognized by their dark brown bodies with white markings. Males have long, curved horns, reaching up to 80 cm (31 inches). They inhabit open grasslands and fynbos, primarily grazing on grasses. Social animals, they often form small herds led by females, while males establish territories.
