Brown Hyena Hunting
The Brown Hyena is the rarest species among African hyenas and thrives in a variety of habitats, ranging from the Namib Desert in Namibia to the semi-arid mountains of the Waterberg in South Africa. This highly elusive and nocturnal creature often goes unnoticed despite residing in areas close to human populations. Its range extends through Southern Angola, Namibia, Botswana, North and Western Zimbabwe, and Northern and Central South Africa. Hunting of the Brown Hyena is permitted in Zimbabwe, Namibia, and South Africa, though it is subject to regulations aimed at conserving this vulnerable species.
