Capercaillie Hunting
The capercaillie (*Tetrao urogallus*), commonly referred to as the wood grouse, is a sizable bird found in the forests of Europe and parts of Asia. Renowned for its intricate courtship rituals, it holds the distinction of being the largest living member of the grouse family. Capercaillies mainly have a varied diet that includes leaves, buds, berries, seeds, and insects, which changes with the seasons. During winter, they frequently feed on conifer needles. In the breeding season, males perform elaborate displays, puffing up their feathers, spreading their tails, and producing booming calls to lure females.
