Caribou Hunting

Caribou (*Rangifer tarandus*), commonly referred to as reindeer in Europe and certain areas of Asia, are sizable herbivorous mammals that belong to the Cervidae family. These animals are highly adapted to cold climates and inhabit the Arctic and Subarctic regions of North America, Europe, and Asia. Their diet mainly consists of lichens, especially during the winter months, although they also eat grasses, shrubs, and other plant materials during warmer seasons. The foraging behavior of caribou can significantly impact the vegetation in their ecosystems.
