Chiloé Wigeon Hunting

The Chiloé wigeon, scientifically called *Anas sibilatrix*, is a duck species from the family Anatidae. These ducks are mainly herbivorous, feeding on aquatic vegetation, seeds, and grasses, and they often search for food by dabbling in shallow waters. Physically, the Chiloé wigeon is a medium-sized duck known for its impressive appearance. Males usually have a striking green head, a white forehead, and a brownish body with a chestnut breast. In contrast, females are predominantly mottled brown, which provides them with effective camouflage in their natural habitat.
