The Dwarf Buffalo, or Forest Buffalo (*Syncerus caffer nanus*), is a smaller, more agile subspecies of the African buffalo, adapted to life in the dense, moist forests of Central and West Africa, where it thrives in heavily vegetated areas near swamps and rivers, feeding on a diverse diet of grasses, leaves, and shrubs.
