Gadwall Hunting

The Gadwall (*Mareca strepera*) is a medium-sized dabbling duck recognized for its subtle elegance and adaptability. These ducks are typically social creatures, often seen in pairs or small groups, and during migration and breeding seasons, they may congregate in larger flocks. As dabblers, Gadwalls primarily feed on seeds, roots, and leaves of aquatic plants, as well as various invertebrates. They forage by tipping forward in the water to access submerged vegetation, frequently found in shallow waters where they can efficiently search for food.
