Kamchatka Brown Bear Hunting

The Kamchatka brown bear (*Ursus arctos beringianus*) is a large subspecies of brown bear found on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. Males can weigh between 800 to 1,500 pounds and have a distinctive shoulder hump. They are omnivorous, feeding on berries, fish (especially salmon), small mammals, and carrion. These bears are generally solitary and play an important role in their ecosystem. Their population is stable and protected by Russian law.
