Red-Flanked Duiker Hunting
The red-flanked duiker (Cephalophus rufilatus) is a small to medium-sized antelope found in the forests of Central and West Africa. Characterized by its reddish-brown coat, striking white throat patch, and distinctive white flank stripes, this elusive animal is a skilled browser, primarily feeding on leaves, fruits, and shrubs. Red-flanked duikers are shy and mostly nocturnal, using their agility to navigate through dense underbrush. They are also known for their solitary or small group behavior. While they are currently classified as Least Concern by the IUCN, habitat loss and hunting pose threats to their populations.
