Rosy-Billed Pochard Hunting

The rosy-billed pochard (Netta peposaca) is a species of diving duck native to South America, particularly found in freshwater lakes, marshes, and rivers. Males are easily recognizable by their striking appearance, featuring a distinctive rosy pink bill, a dark head, and a chestnut-brown body. Females, on the other hand, are more understated, with a mottled brown plumage. These ducks are predominantly herbivorous, feeding on aquatic plants and seeds, but they also consume small invertebrates. The rosy-billed pochard is social and often seen in small to medium-sized flocks.
